For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Today I wanted to express a little of my gratitude for the things in my life. I know that I do not express this enough. I have been thinking about this a lot lately and wanted to share a few things. The number 1 thing that I am grateful for is my family. I have the best family in the whole world. How lucky am I to have so many AMAZING people in my life. I have the most unbelievable husband and kids anyone could ask for. My parents and siblings are the best. I have really great in-laws. I have everything that I could ask for.
Every night this week at dinner Jeff and I ask our kids what they are thankful for today. I think it helps them see that if you are thankful for the small things in life you have everything. Today I am thankful for the gratitude that God has shown me in life. I know that he has plans for everyone and that sometimes we do not see the whole picture until later. Everything happens for a reason and we sometimes we have to go down that rocky road to lead us to the green pasture that we have been looking for. God only gives us what we can handle and is with us every step of the way. Be thankful for the small things like the sun, kisses, the I LOVE YOUs, they may not bring you a million dollars but the will bring such happiness to you life that you feel like you have a million dollars.
I have been taking a lot of photographs of families lately. Through my lens I have been able to see how much some of these families have for each other. My gratitude for the love that Jeff and I have for our little family is immeasurable. I am a lucky girl to have that kind of family relationship. There are many people that tell me that you can see how much Jeff and I love each other and I very grateful that the outside world can see exactly how we feel.
Photography has taught me so much. I have learned that the small little expressions that you get from children are they heartstrings of your life. I try to capture these images of Kenzee and Brody as often as possible. I know that these memories will mean the world to me not only now but, for the rest of my life.
Well, here is a small portion of the GRATITUDE that I have in my life, and here are a few photos of my little family I wanted to share. I hope everyone has a good day.
